Interview Challenge: a practical preparation plan

What is the wasAsked Interview Challenge?

Interview Challenge turns the wasAsked question catalog into a personal preparation plan. Select a target company, role, technology and experience level, or use your saved questions. Practise one question at a time, write your explanation, compare community answers and choose your own assessment. No AI evaluation or recording is involved.

How do I prepare in seven days?

Choose a seven-day plan and a realistic daily practice time. The plan distributes up to 35 matching published questions across seven sessions. Each day, explain the questions before revealing the checklist. Use a concrete example, discuss trade-offs and check uncertain details against primary documentation. Repeat a mock session to improve your explanation. Plans of 14 and 30 days are also available, with up to five questions per day.

How do timed mock interviews work?

Choose a 15, 30 or 45-minute session, or practise without a timer. The timer continues when you reload or leave the page. When time runs out you can finish your reflection without losing the session. Write private notes, review editorial prompts, compare community discussion and save a Strong, Partial or Needs practice rating. A self-rating is a reflection aid, not an automatic technical grade.

When should I revise a question?

Needs practice schedules a question for tomorrow, Partial for three days later and Strong for fourteen days later. Your dashboard shows questions due for revision and the latest confidence by topic. These intervals are simple practice defaults: repeat any daily session sooner when you need extra review.

Are these official company interviews?

No. A company filter selects questions already listed in that company's collection. Contributor experiences and editorial practice content retain their attribution. Availability differs by company and role, and no plan guarantees that a question will appear in a future interview. If there are too few matches, broaden your filters instead of relying on invented questions.

Who can see my preparation notes?

Your challenge and saved answer notes require your signed-in account and are excluded from search indexing. Notes are saved when you submit an assessment; unsaved typing is lost if you leave. The two most recent attempts per question are retained. Clear the challenge from its settings to remove the stored plan and notes. Existing saved-question lists remain local to your browser.

What does completion mean?

Complete a saved assessment for every question to unlock a printable completion record. This records your practice activity and can be saved as a PDF for sharing. It is not a professional qualification, independently verified skill score or prediction of hiring success.
