Interview preparation wiki: concepts, methods and examples

What is the interview preparation wiki?

This is an editorial reference for understanding interview methods before practising them. Start with a definition, work through an example, then explain it in your own words. It complements the company question directory and community answers; it does not predict an employer’s interview or certify a contributor’s experience.

Choose the right starting point

For behavioral interviews, learn the STAR method and prepare examples you can honestly discuss. For technical interviews, practise assumptions, alternatives and verification. For a rehearsal, use a mock interview with explicit feedback. For longer preparation, use spaced revision to revisit difficult questions rather than repeatedly reading familiar answers.

Use a definition, example and self-check

For each concept, write a one-sentence definition, explain one example, and answer a follow-up without reading. A useful self-check is whether you can explain when the method would fail or need adapting. Revisit the source article or official technical documentation when the explanation is uncertain.

Sources, authorship and corrections

These guides are wasAsked editorial preparation material. They are separate from contributor reports of interviews. The editorial policy explains moderation and sourcing. Send a correction with the page URL and supporting evidence through the contact page. There is no claim that these methods guarantee a job offer.
